The Land Rover has now been immobilised using the PM advice l’ve had. (already had disc lock plus other items on it)

That won't stop them rolling it onto the back of a truck or trailer, big chain fixed into the ground, give them some hard graft.

Hmm Sad to say hiab on to the back of a flat bed is extremely difficult to combat
Base problem is ineffective prosecution and sentencing

I already decided that if my Landy does go with all the security l have on it, then l won’t replace it as there’s nothing more l could do.

So why buy another and spend thousands doing it up only to have the thieves take it whenever they want.

Same can be said about every single remotely good car.

One that ive found works well if I'm leaving it at home and not moving for a while or if I've been spooked on top of all the other security I have is low range and difflock with the steering on full lock to prevent it being dragged on to a low loader.
I've also got under the landy with a load of nuts, bolts, washers and other bits of metal and using a impact gun put a mixture of it all in different sized bolts through the UJ's to prevent them turning. This saved my ass on one occasion and I don't mind sharing it as I dont do this anymore.

Additionally
Sold secure ground anchors like for motorbikes, use different types, hardened security chains like the thatcham sold secure motorcycle anti theft stuff, secure padlocks as approved the same and chain the thing down to the drive, just don't forget and try to drive off without unlocking them or you'll be trying to tow your drive down the road

I hear what you are saying

But l’ve spent thousands getting my Defender have l want it.
So if it was stolen l would have to start again.
Where, if l bought (say) a Jeep Wrangler, then l likely wouldn’t do anything with it except maybe waxoyl it and drive it.

So if it got stolen, l could just buy another one and it would be the same.

If it's that dodgy, fit a tracker. At least you may get it back should it get nicked,provided it's missed very soon afterwards.... which it sounds like it would be.

Been away. On my return I can't believe that no one advised you to wire your carcass to your house (spare on your RCD trip so you deter and don't kill 'em).

I recall reading a post on this forum - I think - that reported the results of wiring a HUGE siren alarm to a trembler switch. The image of a tea-leaf with bleeding eardrums rolling around on the driveway still makes me chuckle.

Fit an alarm with motion sensing so it goes oft if they get inside it or break a window. If you have a tractor can you put a large stone or tree trunk across the exit path.

Thank you for all the advice, the Defender has now been upgraded with various security items.

l think l have done all that l can to protect the vehicle, without making it impractical to actually use.

My last line of defence is to park my wife's car right behind. It's a relatively new model with all the Bells and Sirens - nobody'd bother trying to move that.
