Folding mirrors

Hi all! Just having a fiddle with the micro switch on my drivers side wing mirror and found a connector with purple and white wire which wasn't connected to anything? Heated glass works, folding works and adjustment works! Any ideas what this connector is for? I thought it might be for wing mirror indicators but can't see any later L322 which have them? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Probably for the auto dipping glass.
Someone might have replaced the glass with none dipping as the dipping ones are somewhat expensive.

Ta for that, does look as though someone has been into the mirror before me?

Actually, island have electro-chromatic ones for around 50 quid from allmakes.
Might not be great quality but reasonable price.
Genuine ones are 250 quid!

Thought this was too good to be true And it is It's for the second incarnation, not the early ones. Ah well.
