Hi everyone,
I got one problem with engine temperature. It warm up very slowly and the temperature is getting lower without any reasons. I have change one thermostat (the small one) and checked the webasto. It works well. The problem still occurs. In the same time I have only hot air in cabin. What should I do to make this case forward? Both thermostats were changed in April.

Welcome.
Let me check I have this right: You have the heat turned on in the cab and your temp guage is lowering, and you don't know why?

In which case it looks like you have changed the egr cooler stat, I went through this the first winter with my 2003, it hardly got out the blue bit even after a 12 mile trip and the FBH was still running fitted a new engine stat from the bay of e,still no better (the engine temp would go down when going down hill, yes we do have a couple in Lincolnshire) so new genuine stat (£80 ) no better, now run without the viscus fan and shroud which helps. If do a search about the Freelander td4 stat mod you`ll find that that stat on the td4 is a swine to get to so the dodge is fit a renault stat into the top hose, the td6 has same size top hose so me being me thought I"ll give it a go, reno 5 82c stat in top hose last winter now within 2 miles temp gauge is straight up in the middle and bottom half of rad cold (stone cold if its 0c outside) didnt run with it in through summer but its back in now, went down to her sisters other week 130 miles each way motorway speed ish and 8c weather bottom of rad still cold.

I have a similar issue on my L322 SC. when the water pump let go in august I changed most things while I was there, both water pumps t stat pullies etc. it was fin for some months when stationary on local runs the needle drops off temp, however if I do a long run and the temp has had time at middle it will sty rock solid and not drop off.

I put this down to a faulty t stat. its new and I replaced the OEM one with an aftermarket 'quality' part. I figure that the wax capsule is not reacting to the coolant temp and shutting it off any by passing. hence if its been wrm for some time on the motorway its fully warmed up and functioning. I have a replacement tstat to go in when I get a round to it

What is SI? Service Indicator?
Yep. Somewhere in the back of my head, there is a memory of BMWs having a flickering temp needle , due to interference from SI board. As the early L322s are BMW, wondered if it might be a consideration.

Addit: Long time since I had my Beemer , so could be waaaaaaayyyyyyy off.

No SI board in the L322......it is dealt with via mileage readout when ignition powered on. Tells you milage to next service.

The old coloured lights service board was never fitted to the L322.

I had curious fluctuating needle issues, turned out to be a chaffed wire to the temp sensir.

Ah right. Oh well was worth a shot. And I learned something new :)

@kds, I'm sure we faced the same problem.

This is what happens while driving...

Bit of a late reply @Rangu_2003 but having watched it again I see your gauge is showing engine up to normal temp mine was only getting a third of the way up plus when temp went down it did it slowly not jumping about like yours does, also I see you have other warning lights on on the dash so maybe you have a connection issue and not a stat issue.
