Disco 2 The BLOWING manifold.

Kind of inevitable really.

The TD5 Diseasel has decided to sound like a tin tray full of shít.

So the natural remedy is a V8..

Or..

Skim the face and use speshul studs and gaskets to stop it blowing?

Or should i just leave it sounding like an old Lawn mower?

Fix it cos it's not just about sound, being an exhaust gas leak before the turbo it will not spin as fast as expected according to the sensor inputs, the driver demand(TPS input) - RPM relation will be mixed up and most probably the engine will be overfuelled

FM that's quite a leap - Exhaust manifold repair to engine transplant!

Skim manifold, deweb it as well, refit and hope for the best!
I also drilled all the holes over size, just leaving two as std so manifold was in the correct location.

"Diseasel"... lol

Absolutely +1^^^. Didn't even touch the webs, but otherwise did exactly this. No trouble since.
Tis said that once they have warped they won't warp again.
