Led light bars

Or if any one had any recommendations of reasonably priced ones. Thanks in advance

I have one on my disco but its the 52" curved one which gives more of a wider angle compared to my mates
one which is much the same as the one in your link.
They are mega bright I have 2 huge led spots aswell they make a massive difference.

kev hi been looking for a decent flood light radius 10mtrs. a good close range work lamp.
all look good but reliability. i need some thing that will not fail.

How does the quoted power work. Surly 3900watts would fry your battery???

325 Amps does seem a little excessive.

They quote 10-30v, maybe the 3900w is at 24v, even so it's quite hefty!!!
A pokey 150a alternator won't keep you driving

I cant put my hands on the receipts for mine but when im driving with all my lights bar & spots my
volt meter drops from 14.2 down to 13.9.

They convert the amount of lumens into watts something like 1 watt = 100 lumens so the higher
the lumens the brighter the light, but they don't draw much at all so there is no way they figures
work out. Im just in the dark as much as you lol (pardon the pun)

Watts is still a measurement of power, in DC terms Watts equals volts times amps, So if this wattage is correct the light bar would need to be wired using starter motor cable.

I have to say i wouldn't buy it. Either is wrong, but there are plenty of others on ebay boasting 3000+ watts, or its going to kill the vehicle
If the advert is wrong on the watts, what else is wrong...

I always go for one where the blurb in the add has good grammar unlike the ones that say," thanking you for chosen are lighting bar and hope you have plenty enjoyable times using it."

Mines a curved one and its really good, aint got a clue what watt it is but never had a problem with it, then again never left it on for a long time. Very wide beam seems to shine out sideways to, as well as forward, lights the whole yard up,

Perhaps not an answer to the OP's question, but doesn't a roof mounted light bar put everything close to the vehicle into deepest darkest blackness and make it useless for illuminating the way ahead except at a distance, which is why we have headlamps?

What the big over cab lights do, is to light up the ground imediately in front of the vehicle making it easy to see and to navigate safely over the rough stuff when off roading. This type of light is not desiged to be a driving light having as you say no reach of beam. For this the spotlights on the front bumper/grill are the best. Though I have to say, if all the lights are used together on the road you will obviously be able to see much more both close and far. HTH.

Elsewhere it declares light output as 31,200LM, 12 volt and it a FOG light with a combo pattern.

Now top end specification LED are capable of 100+LM measured output per watt.

Top end spec LED comes with top end price tag of $+ each rather then cents price each of bottom end. Note no mention of LED maker or product number, will not go down BIN route (Batch Identification Number often split into10 different grades within a particular product code)

Now is claimed light output of 31,200 or is it 390,000 LM the theoretical light output, the calculated light output or a measured light output?

My guess? Wet a finger, stick it up in the air, guess a number and stick a nought or two on the end.

Do their best to fiddle UK HMRC

Yes it might slip under the radar. However am still arguing with an importer about a duty/vat of £90.25 invoice on goods and shipping costing 165 USD 3 months down the line. Of course there is the handling charges etc on top
