Series 3 removing starter - above or bellow?

Sorry to ask something that probably was asked before but when I try to search I keep getting error.
Should I remove the starter from above (hood) or from under the truck? There seem to be no room for it either way.
I saw a youtube video somebody removed it from top but he had to remove a lot of stuff before getting to it and he was saying himself that he is not a mechanic and knows nothing (excellent promo for a mechanical tutorial video!). Maybe there is an easier way?

And can be tightened from above .

You'd need bloody long arms getting it out from above I would of thought.
