Hi guys i have 2001 pre facelift. now am keeping my bumpers the same as i like them better but am looking to maybe upgrade the taillights theones on the body not the bumper to the facelift ones as they look abit more 3d if you know what i mean. basically what id like to know are these a simple swap as in a (screw out screw in type) or is it more to it than that. any help would be great. thanks

Welcome to the forum! There is a very recent thread on a face lift conversion - and I get the impression that the rear tail lights (in the rear pillars) are a straight swap.

Not quite that simple, as the upper lights (fog and reverse) are a different shape. The facelift are taller than the pre-facelift, as they have had a reflector added to the bottom, to make the upper and lower lights look more cohesive. This means that the facelift upper lights will be fouling the top of the bumper.

Yeah they won’t fit with the prefacelift bumper
