Hi guys!
I’m looking at getting a 11 plate defender 110 hardtop. I want to fit a middle seat in front, as I’ve seen many others that have it, but this one doesn’t. My main question is has anyone done this? Is it something I can do? A ball park figure of what I’m looking at price wise.

Yep the newb giving a newb a thrashing..

Only us Longstanding members can do that ;)

In short yes you can, but the middle person would have to be quite a short arse!! ;)

i thought about removing my middle seat for a singing and dancing middle box . the middle seat is restrictive but worth keeping.
as far as replies there are some arse holes on this forum that take the **** think because they are educated they are better than you and i.
however there are some amazing landy owners that will go way out their way to help.
just remember one thing my friend EDUCATION DOES NOT GUARANTEE INTELLIGENCE.

The holes you need to fit the seat might already be in your vehicle so fitting might be very simple. As for price, it depends on what trim spec your current front seats are but you could get a vinyl seat for as little £10 on the bay of fleas or £70-80 for a cloth version

You have to know the middle seat occupant very well....changing gear is rather personal. They are quite cheap to pick up and easy to bolt in.
I agree I had a 110 1988 with the middle seat .lets just the passenger left with a smile and very tired look. It took ages to wipe the roof lining. might explain why I now driving a Freelander, i do miss the middle seat.
