Defender heater blowers stopped working

Hey up guys
Blowers stopped working in my defender 300tdi. Anyone had same ?
I have just put a brand new blower motor in checked all fuses still nothing.
Anyone know if the motor control switch could completely stop working or any other ideas.

Yes, but traced to a jammed impeller. Not likely in your case but worth taking the cover off and giving it a spin? You don't say why you replaced the old one, but were the switches working prior to the swap? Check the resistor...troublesome as it's inside the heater box...but mine was so corroded it really should've failed before the fan did.

No the blowers just stopped working so I checked the fuses and bought a new blower motor and installed. But still, nothing prior to this they were working fine.
The switch moves up and down ok not stuck.

Get the multimeter out. Is the motor getting power then work backwards to the dash controls.

Will do new motor & checked the resistor came on then went off again guna check the dash controls next I think ( are the dash controls known to stop working ? ) cheers again Ian.
