Long story short we where a 4 car pile up today, car number one hadn’t seen the traffic stop, number 2 went into it then we went into number 2 and number 4 went into the back of us snapped our draw bar on the trailer and pushed it into us. The landrover came off the best out of the lot of them,

From looking I need new front bumper and front wing, back door also needs painting again but i think the tracking is out on the defender, I’ve had a good look underneath and nothing looks out of place or bent ect we where doing around 25-30mph before hitting the brakes but we locked up and went into the corsa. Thought. I was having was could the chassis be bent? It’s got a galv chassis that isn’t very old can’t see anything obvious but unsure if they bend easy? 0E0A8D90-398D-477B-B3B7-447EFECC3D0A.jpeg3EA0B6D6-CE79-4CD6-9BAD-F17474AC1091.jpeg

Looking at the back of the Corsa I would say you went pretty well square into it, a hit on one corner is more likely to result in a chassis twist.
Either way tape measure is your friend and if you are not sure take it to an expert.
Looks like the Corsa absorbed most of the impact. Poor thing.

Looking at the front end of the Corsa, the airbags haven't deployed. That would seem to indicate that its front-end impact was fairly minor, and yet you did that to its back-end? Many questions come to mind....of which the state of your chassis and/or tracking are well down the list.

I'd be surprised if there's anything wrong with your chassis. The bottom of the corsa will be plastic held in place by delicate steel brackets. The hatch back door and frame it latches in to the strongest bit, but not as strong as your standard bumper. Your wing may well push out. Inner wing might be more of an issue if its bent

Thanks I’ll have good look over it and if need be give it to experts to check, the back of the corsa looks worse with it still having its brakes on when we hit as it had gone into another car, the Hyundai wasn’t far off as bad infront the corsa, Also we hit it above its bumber bar so will have made more of a mess! Have 2 other Dailey’s a vw Amarok and audi Rs3 both of which I don’t think would have come off aswell as the defender did:(

Measuring may not help as fenders arnt actually to a decent tolerance anyway. Without knowing what it was before it wont help too much imo!

Looks like the Corsa acted as your crumple zone. Bumpers bent but generally looks alright but still check!

Dont have to be going fast to do that. I hit a Golf at around 15 - 20 and did the same damage. Cars like that are paper thin a 2 tonne landy going into the back is going to trash it.

You can still check if there are any major deviations.

Hello Tom''

Gutted for you mate.
It looks worse than it really is, i doubt you've caused any damage to your chassis, get a new bumper and possibly a better wing if the old one wont pull out.
Hope you have some paint left...

Unless he only has third party cover then shirley it is all a matter for the Insurance company to sort out?

Thanks everyone, as said above by other chap that hit a golf we won’t of been going anymore than 20mph as we had started slowing down for the roundabout ahead, anyway still not good, we have fleet insurance so it’s up to them just don’t want to have it written off ect as have spent a lot of money on it getting it how I wanted it, all re painted, new doors ect! As you all know even if you got the money they are worth it’s hard to find one to your liking and spec, they are not like a normal car where you can go and buy like for like! Had a good look this morning but it’s still we here, full front wing is gone and need a front bumper, front grill and indicator light ect looks fairly superficial. Fingers crossed!
