Re-fitting Door Trim - Frustrating!

Okay, 2003 LR Disco 2 Td5.

Just installed a new lock/actuator (Part #: FQJ102890) in front passenger door yesterday. All went well and lock working well! Yeah! However, final part is putting the interior door trim panel back on - "pops on" (Part # MWC9134) with 11 or so "plastic studs"! Was easy getting the panel off with panel-popper/trim tool, but just can't seem to line it up to put the panel back on again!!! Any tips?

If I can get the panel back on I'll do the rear passenger-side door (Part #: FQM100710) as this has also stopped working.

Followed the write-up on discovery2 website (he never got around to doing the front door!) and found "Foreman and Wilms" video on Youtube very helpful! Thing was, the video showing Foreman putting the panel back on was sped-up and I couldn't determine if he used any special technique/s?

I have also removed mine two times, but was quite easy to put back (at least much easier than on a 71 wv beetle).
You should set all plastic studs in the right position (sorry i can not define it better) and start from the bottom then the sides and finally the top. This way you can see if the studs are aligned well or not.

Okay, thanks! Was starting from the top and studs kept falling out! Will start from the bottom instead (think only two studs at the bottom) and work up the sides.

Aussies always do it upside down

Used to "do it" upside down when I was in my early 20s - too taxing now!

Was born in Scotland (Glasgow - not too far from Loch Lomond where you are - beautiful area!), but living down-under for most of my years now and specialising in putting door trim panels on upside down!

Got it on! Replaced four wonky clips (11 in total) - started at outside top corner, worked across and then down with firm pressure (after lining it up carefully!). Helped that I did it during daylight with a helper this time around!

Door working beautifully again!

Will have to do the rear passenger side door next. Believe it's just a small DC motor that kicks the bucket. Will pull this faulty actuator apart and have a look!
