Newbie introducing myself. Cornish boy, first time owner after getting old enough to require my accessing my bucket list. Found a Series111 88", locally, needing a bit of fettling. Am reasonably familiar with maintaining and fixing cars and vans, but up until now, have concentrated on classic Fiat Pandas, the parts for which are a lot lighter! Wish me luck =:)) Chris

Thanks for the welcome. The local 88 turned out to be a series 2a, on checking the chassis no., but in the meantime, I also picked up an '81 88" that is seemingly immaculate (from the outside, which is all I've had a chance to look at closely). It is set up as a recovery truck, with a recovery winch on the back and one on the front, and I am looking to take theheavy kit off and make a butt for it so I can have it as my daily driver.

I'd leave it like that and go lifting cars at night...
But seriously that is a good show vehicle, similar to a 109 with Harvey frost i had many moons ago...

Have a search online for the chassis and reg plate. It may have some interesting history.
