Hi folks

After driving through flood water approx 400mm
Air filter and box soaked after Muppet driver created high wave.
Engine never stalled.

Have dried out box and fitted new filter and it drives well but on hills or heavy acceleration it pulls back and lacks power.

Engine oil clean and no sign of head gasket issues

Ideas please what to check next

FL2 2.2 HSE Auto

Water elsewhere in the air intake pipework. Crud blocking the Intercooler? MAF dirty/damaged? Any steam coming out of the exhaust?

No steam from exhaust I am going to see if I can get at the intercooler in morning hopefully there is some way to check for water in IC without removing bumper and will clean and bench test the maf.
Am I right in thinking the air coming in goes to the turbo first

yes thats correct, air in through turbo(cold side), compressed in to manifold then into cylinders where it comes out again and goes through the turbo (hot side) and out the exhaust

I had this before on a FL2 in floods and I’d basically filled the inter cooler with water and therefore no air could get to the engine.

Always check the simple things first pmsl, unplugged Maf and drove like a dream new one fitted from eurocarparts and the Hippo is ready for more, Thanks for all the help folk's
