At around 1/3 the price of the genuine MAF I'm delighted with how well it's working.
Off course that with any new MAF is working better than with a failed one... though you dont know how much better would work with a genuine LR one at this point ... did you look into the MAF to see the element before you fitted it, at least is it the one with hot film technology or with thermistor/resistor setup?, genuine type with the hot wire principle which gives accurrate readings looks like in the red square

and low quality aftermarket's element looks like this and even if the impression is that they work the same the thermistor-resistor setup has a diffeent reading curve as it has a certain "inertia'' cos the glass coated thermistor will not be cooled by the air flow as fast as the film coated hot wire

so if it's aftermarket at least to be with the same technology like the genuine otherwise even if the engine seem to be running fine there are consequences on a long run and the engine is not at 100% performance... at the end each person has what he paid for

+1 to what Fery says. I can confirm based on my own experience. I have now 2 aftermarket MAFs on my shelves and a genuine one on my engine;)
According to Nanocom all are the same but the performance and the fuel economy is different.
Last year I talked to a retired LR workshop onwer and he also confirmed that in case of MAF, only genuine is 100% reliable.

New LR MAF arrived yesterday... Accelerating just nicely now, so much different than when I first bought the Disco.

Right, next job, in a long list is look at the dash warning lights.
