Hello
Could anyone tell me how easy it would be to swap the original front wings and grille panel on a Series 3 for Series 2 panels?
I have a 1975,Series 3 and was considering converting it,to have the look of a Series 2.
Would this be a straightforward or is it a bit more involved?
Any advice would be most welcome.
Thank you.

Agreed, leave it, there was a time when S2 s were somehow seen as more desirabel than S3 s but its all in the past now. These are all vehicles that are 45 to 60 years old now and orginality is the key.

Fairly easy, but a lot of effort and money for no gain. Plus your vehicle would not meet Construction & Use Regulations and would technically not be roadworthy. Chances of this being an issue are unlikely, but should you be involved in an accident, you would be at additional risk.

Remember Land Rover moved the headlights for a reason ;)

Could go for a late 2a look [ lights in wing ] with no legal problem jus by changing plastic 3 grill to metal grill, cross type. They are to be had but costly.

I think that's the biggest downside, opens a can of worms and leaves you having to explain every time that it really is an S3 and you fitted the S2A wings yourself. Would get wearying after a while.
