Hello again, in an effort to educate myself I am reading up on my series 3 wiring. Looking at this diagram, am I right in saying the positive side of the ignition coil is not fused?

I had a petrol with a hidden switch once it would have taken a while for someone to find.

as said, the main danger if you get your truck to the valuable stage is someone coming with a hoist recovery truck and just lifting it on to the back

my brother had all this and the Barst**ds must have used a crane and lifted it over a gate!

That comes back to where you park it.
No one is going to ‘sneak’ up with a crane capable of lifting a Landy!

You could add to the previous list - if the vehicle is going to be left somewhere with no occupancy nearby, find a temporary place that has.

I’m just off to sink a 5 ton shackle into the concrete base my truck stands on!! Lolol

There's a lot to be said for ground anchors. A few years ago there was a gang stealing 1990s Mercs and shipping them to Africa. They had Merc overalls, a trailer and recovery winch and they took them all in broad daylight during the day. They were caught at their yard after containers were intercepted, they were never stopped during a robbery.

it is such a good cover, properly painted up truck, overalls and hi vis, anyone walking past doesn't bat an eyelid.

whenever I have had a broken down car recovered, no one has stopped and said I hope you aren't nicking that.

A few years back a car had broken down on our local by-pass. A recovery truck pulled up, winched on and went, turned out they were chancers stealing it! Never got caught.
