What did you do with your Range Rover today

Ah makes sense. Under the liners were good and i tarted them up and chassis well when I had the old shocks off.
Sides have surface rust, I did the worst but haven’t taken rear bumper off yet

This year I will concentrate on lift pump, more chassis work in summer do these sills, replace GBox/sump fluids/plugs.
Probably the odd imminent failure,
then she should be ready to tweak the power a bit :)

Tweak the power.

Hmm.

U going to chip it?

Was going to chip it in beginning as it was sluggish and I expected no less. I thought it’d need extra poke due to the big tyres and lift.
Wammers, Grrrrrr & Datatek convinced me fix it first and I wouldn’t need the extra, they were right. I got the extra oomph already but will handle little more, when we get there.

The gearbox wont if it's an auto.

picked it up, bit different to the old D2, and surprisingly quick.

How many buttons and options does an owner need?

Me likes it, likes it a lot.

Cheers

My Sisters fiesta 1.2 is faster than my D2 ;)

The 4.4 is a fast beast, also relatively frugal thanks to the gearbox, and another few things ;)

glad you like it, yep they do get up and go when you push hard on the loud pedal:D

now the new learning curve begins, bet your excited about that:);)

Mahoosive difference from a soft top 300tdi 90, LOL.

yep I notice that too when I take out the 90, main thing is remembering it’s got 3 pedals and a magic wand waving around in the middle:D

don’t know what you have but for some reason Gap seems to run better on Crapple stuff. For some reason some guys seem to have a hard time with some Driod tablets.

Realised the green oval on the tailgate has grown legs. Which is a little upsetting. I imagine the glue holding it in place just ran out of stickiness.

Both (?) mine fell orf. I cursed sum bugger had nicked them, then found one in the glove box- that I put there
It’s only the sticker bit?

R380. Some long term things still need doing but I’m further along than I expected last year. Most of the worst stuff is done.

Lift pump next :) finally! :D

Spent quite a bit of time upside down in the passenger footwell of my P38 today, at least there was a bit of room as the passenger seat is now on the backseat after finding my T50 torx bit :)

I was having an issue with OBD connector. Im not sure if its from factory but mine was coated in some really horrible gunky orange crud that I can only imagine is some sort of waterproofing ??. Anyways, it was messing up my ability to work on the EAS diagnostics as there was no connection to pin1. This is the pin that when pulled low, resets the EAS power relay and lets you commence serial comms with the EAS ECU.

Cleaned out the connector and reseated pin 1 and its happy as clam now :)

No, the solid lines are shot as are the flexi's.
I've left it with the garage to quote for the work.
They are a garage I've used for about 20 years. Good as gold and no bull.
I'm in no rush so will probably just let them do it at their own speed. Plus they'll be in a nice warm workshop on a 4 post lift. Much better than me grovelling about on the drive swearing at it with my neighbours spectating with popcorn and beer!
