Well Roll on winter I can't wait to find out how my 2006 FL1 TD4 HANDLES ITSELF IN SNOW IF WE GET ANY THAT IS.
I have done all the jobs needed this year, including fitting a replacement fully refurbished tailgate door and final job taking the vehicle to the body shop for inner sill welding both sides.
I have witnessed the glow plug symbol on the dash coming on now it is colder for a few seconds giving me peace of mind my 4 new glow plugs are working, as per another post on here I had a little concern that the light didn't come on over the last few months but ok now.
I have 4 newish winter/mud tyres on, recon vcu, new prop uj's, all brakes front and rear incl drums and discs, exhaust rear box, full engine service, egr bypass and bmw breather mod and lots of polish.
Next Years jobs list is to do the faulty inner reverse park sensors, some cosmetic paint on door inners and the drivers seat tear to outer edge probably sew it up myself.
This weeks surprise find was when reading RAVE just as You do I came across the write up on the pct heater and couldn't believe the vehicle had this facility so tried it the next morning and amazing, warm air at start up from heater what a great addition!
Christmas list will have faux leather seat covers on it and new floor mats too plus another full engine service kit, I always over service my vehicles.
A friend local to me always laughs when He sees me outside under or over the land rover and commented was I trying to make it a New One to which I replied Of course I am this is my second wife lol.
Happy Landy'ing AL.

Can you please delete this post, its making me feel rather inadequate having done nothing to the car this year other than oiling door hinges (which I don't think I should do anyway). I did wash it once, have topped up the coolant and I checked the oil.

Other than that though its just been driven. Its so much effort keeping these 20 year old Land Rovers on the road

Oh yeh, just forgot, I had to change the seat belt because it failed one of its 2 WOFs (MOTs) on it this year - but I don't count that because there was nothing wrong with it anyway.

If it makes you feel better GG - what 131 C needs to know is that the glow plug light has no bearing on whether the glow plugs actually work or not ! The light gets a signal from the ECU, it doesn't even reflect the time that the plugs are actually on, purely a driver aid as to when to turn the key !

Yeh, but he has done his best to hopefully make sure they are working. Good on you @131commando :)
