hi all just purchased some seat from Exmoor trim to replace the horrible car seats now what do I need to fit them I have the 4 brackets that bolt to seatbox that the seat back bolt to that's easy but how do I secure the bases as I have no idea

Seat usually just sits on top of seat box a small strap at the front to hold in place. Similiar to the ones fitted to thge back rest.

do you have a pic its deluxe seats im fitting
Use of the Deluxe seats implies the frame is adjustable, in that it can be moved backwards and forwards.
The picture shows the frame in which the cushion sits. A similar frame is used with the standard seat cushions, when an adjustable seat was specified.
Here, there is no retaining strap, that was used with the non-adjustable seat assembly.

I'm not familiar with the Exmoor Trim cushions, so I'm making an assumption they are replacements for worn out LR DeLuxe cushions, rather than an Exmoor product to upgrade standard LR seating.

Ooops, just re-read your Post 6, you have non adjustable seats.
I THINK there are two options.
Seek a second-hand set of adjustable frames and sliders, but make sure these will fit your cushions, as while the frames for standard cushions are a different part number - 331466, I'm not sure if they have different internal dimensions
Buy a leather strap, Exmoor suggest you need the 140 mm length, and attach this to the seat base cushion, as though it was a standard cushion. Does the seat box still have the stud the strap fastens to? I suggest asking Exmoor if this is a viable option.

Here's a photo of my seats within a frame well, don't really need the leather strap on the bases to keep them within the frames as they are a tight fit, but they do make it easier to pull the bases out (whilst mine are the Extreme seats they are the same principle as as the normal bases

I fitted the Exmoor Trim Deluxe seats to my S3. I don't have adjustable frames either. The seat bases just fit between the simple metal rails and the little leather strap at the front locates on the little knob thingy. They are stable but fair to say not 100% secure. That's just the way they always were- typical Land Rover styleee. :)

Hi.
Just looking through old threads and was wondering what these seats are. They look a little plusher than the deluxe seats.

If there's the stud then make a strap. Mine has studs/strap on passenger and middle not drivers. I used an old leather belt, it was enough to do all the bases and backs. Mine has the fillers under the seats so the seat bases come out for every fill up.
