Back in Jan 18 I sent my TD5 Disco in for repairs to a 4x4 "specialist" around Stafford way. The vehicle had several repairs including a new 1/3 chassis due to rot. It went for an MoT 3 months ago and an advisory now states "corrosion rear chassis rails".

Another job was repair of both sun roofs which to be fair, had leaked for the 20 years I've owned it. I opened the front sun roof on Sat for the first time and all's good! Monday morning the rain's poured in.

I advised the repairer the air con pump was u/s. He just re-gassed it so it still doesn't work. Proper investigation has revealed corrosion to a pipe that had some sort of sponge round it, retaining water and causing rot. Hence, the pipe has holes in it.

Leak to power steering. He agreed but couldn't find the problem, so it's still leaking only worse!

Vehicle was returned to me with a broken centre arm rest. He admitted responsibility and repaired it. My problem with this is having to return the vehicle. It's an operation of around 40 miles and needed two vehicles.

Obviously, I'll never go back but I'm just bemoaning, what I believe to be poor service and poor quality repairs.

Also unless you take it back what good is moaning about it going to do? Personally I do the majority of stuff myself then at least I know the job is done correctly.
Sunroof- DIY
Power steering- DIY
Air con- DIY + garage for re gas

If the garage does crap work then report them to their local Trading Standards. For all you know, they might be running a file on them after many such complaints.
