Sorry I actually posted a message
On a seperate thread! I mentioned that the car now after a pleasant week would not start once key in, initially dead, no electrics , nothing.

The key itself is very damaged so i have ordered new casing and batteries. The readings now are engine disabled place key in ignition so I will go through the process to eliminate! . Also irdered nee battery for car.
You got it right with the piggy bank!

Is she behaving herself now?
is a lovely colour and the mondial wheels suit it well
She has her moments! Still having slight issue after replacing ALL coolant pipes and thermostat... working on it...also clacking when warm... tried rislone which temporarily helped... other than that I get compliments every time I take her out.

i meant if you thought your noise/coolant issue is liner related a ‘sniff test’ would be useful. Not saying that’s what it is but every 4.6 owner must have it on their mind at some point.
Sniff test is just a term for the product. It tells you if combustion gasses are present in the coolant for example with a blowing head gasket or slipped liners

Yay! Another contented P38a Owner (for now ;) ).
Pictures please, we all love pictures.
Update on Victoria! Paint job , lots
Sniff test is a kit off stuff yo put in the coolant and it turns a different colour if there is exhaust gases present indicating head gasket failure
thanks, I will try to get this kit and keep you posted! Blown gasket sounds expensive?
