Quick Head Unit Question

Finally getting around to changing the Becker HK unit for something more desirable.

I do have the steering wheel control kit to allow the new head unit to use the steering wheel controls but to be honest I can't remember last time I used them and its just as easy to use the stereo directly.

If I fit the new head unit and don't bother with the steering wheel controls nothing odd likely to happen?

Probably a basic question.

No. Nothing bad will happen.

Thanks, you never know, sometimes things are wired into other things, I have had it before on other cars, disconnect something you think is unrelated and something else doesn't work

The wheel controls are a simple resistive ladder. So leaving the wires open circuit will have no effect on the HU.

Are you selling the becker?

No not currently, if I ever sell the car I will put it back to factory.

That's what I do. I've just replace my Sony HU and the Qi charger shelf with the factory double din Vestion HU, as I'm preparing the car for sale.

Indeed, I think some people prefer factory as well. Having just had the Becker unit out someone else has had their own head unit in there before, due to the amount of cut wires!

At the same time as doing the stereo also fitting a mic for it and a dash cam, hoping the a pillar just pulls off ?
