Swapping my rear 2 seats for 3 seats

You'll need seats from a 3 door. However you'll also need to inform the DVLA and the insurance company, as I believe a change of seating plan needs an inspection.

I love that name "im-going-to-kick-my-car" :D

Don't let @Hippo hear you say that though

That’s the thing about the freelander. I love it- it’s never broken down and starts every time. But the things that go wrong are so.... ARGH!!
Last month my exhaust blew- fair enough. I expected to pay out to have it fixed. But what I hadn’t expected was to replace the oxygen sensor that MELTED to the exhaust too. On a positive note, at least I worked out why my car smelt like fire after a long drive...
So, Freelanders. Brilliant, reliable work horses... but she is trying. What’s that about leading a horse to water..?

Freelander's are brilliant. They dun't just have normal faults. They have propper hard ones anorl which turn out to be fun. It's because yer Freelander wants to spend more time with yer.

As Nodge said, DVLA may not allow 3 rear passengers by design, because of the lift off roof.

The hard-back was available a 3 seater rear bench. However those would have been registered as a 5 seat vehicle, not 4. IIRC a change of seating plan to a vehicle, requires a new compliance certificate to be issued.
