Hello all
I am very new to the Land Rover world, and would really appreciate some advice on a 2015/2016 D4 that we are going to buy. What I really want is an old 110, but that will apparently be too agricultural to loan to the parents in law when they come back to the U.K. every now and again!
Anyway, I have been religiously pouring over the classifieds and approved used ads, and it appears that once D4s from 2015/16 get over about 60,000 miles, their price seems to fall quite a bit more than between say 40k and 50k. I have seen others with mileage at around 75k and even 90k. Doing 90k miles in four years suggests there’s quite a bit of motorway driving of course. No bad thing necessarily?
The thing that I would appreciate some wisdom on is what are the risks, if any, of buying a D4 that’s done say 75,000 miles, as opposed to one that’s done 40,000. I suppose there are more chances to miss services, but assuming that each car has had all its required services on time, and that each car has been driven in a fairly responsibly way!
Part of me thinks that if the engine has got to 75k without a major issue, then it’s probably good for another 100k if you service it on time etc, but maybe I am being naive!
