Loud bang then unsettled on a corner.

Got home, raised up the back end, left hand rear drop link snapped as it bolts to the axle.

Looks a pain to swap as well!

You've still got ACE haven't you ?
If you've driven with 1 broken, the ACE RAM might have extended & may give you a fight when fitting the new 1.

One I took off was not factory, nor Britpart, nor the one in the link.

No centre hole in the bottom bolt.

Factory are torx, Britpart are hex, and the one on the link has a nut top, this one did not.

Had a little fight but more worryingly when dropped the hoses are near the exhaust

Was noisy driving to M&M, the bar was banging up and down even at low speeds and gentle corners.

Took it for a drive just before posting (beat the rain) back to normal phew!

The one which broke was fitted by a garage for MOT two years ago in December, I dropped it off there, got them to do a pre MOT then take it to their pet MOT tester.

I don't mind doing that when cold and rainy, rather do 6 hours in office on a Saturday than spend it under the car when cold and wet.

They did all 4 drop links.

Garage specialises in Land Rovers.

Hi

I also bought some of the meyle heavy duty drop links for my D3 after being recommended to them

Also heard some cheap drop links on D3s had snapped
