Tailgate failure

Hey folks still getting my bearings with the Freelander and now my back door is closed...forever

I've removed the door card but I'm at a loss of what to do next?

Pull the door release actuator downward.

This is what your looking for. Push the plunger in the direction of the arrow. This will release the door latch, but not drop the glass, so that will need easing out of the top rail.

Mine looks slightly different almost like It has a cover over it?

Turned out to be the microswitch on the handle, replaced and all working now
