Got mine out to fix a leak and the felt is disgusting

Going to just take it off and I seen someone paint theirs with "flatbed truck" paint, looked good!

Anyone ever done it?

I would imagine the hard bit will be getting the gluey sponge off after the felt!

Anyone got any tips?
 
Mines done!
Took the crap off, power blasted, cleaned up (not all glue came off!) painted with light gray, put back on! It looks good! If not better that original!

Haha I thought you meant actually jet wash but the headliner material, ie not the felt the actual body doesnt look overly strong to handle a stream of jet water!?

Steam cleaned off, grey primmer/undercoat then painted with deluxe weather shied,

I recovered mine with some new headliner material but it wasn't very stretchy so had a few small creases in it. Next time I'll get some stretchy stuff.

Mines painted black and looks great, dos ant make much different's sound wise, and
i don't get any condensation ether.
