Disco 2 Landrover discovery 2 1999 v8 haynes book

Just wondering can you get a manual or haynes book for a disco 2 1999 ..v8 petrol .iv tried everywhere cant find one . There is one but it covers the diesel not the petrol thanks

The petrol engine is much the same as the D1 as far as I know. Anyway, I much prefer RAVE to Haynes. Plus it's free!

Just checked the Haynes website and amazingly, or maybe not so much now, they do not cover that model of V8. However it was quite a lot like the D1 one and as ^ said, RAVE should cover it.
Maybe an American manual might cover it, as so many went over there.

Look for July 12 2019, D2 1999 workshop manual post in here as there are links in this to allow you to read or download rave, official land rover d2 workshop manual which covers both v8 and td5 engines.

Haynes never made a manual for the Discovery 2 V8. They only made one for the Discovery 2 Td5.
The GEMS/Lucas and THOR/Bosch V8 engines are similar but yet very different beasts.
Your best bet is to download the Discovery 2 RAVE workshop & electrical circuit diagram manuals as others have mentioned.

Where can I get info on the Bosch THOR 4.6 engine Service periods and maintenance, mines only done 20000 miles, what Can I expect to need doing, nota bene gentle winding countryside motoring only.

P.s. it's a 1999 LHD 4.6 litre engine very original. All stamps upto 2017. Is there any way I could be able to tell if it has ever overheated?
