Hi there,
In my Defender Puma 2007 behind the stereo there is an ISO plug that links the stereo to the cabling and 4 speakers. I only have two pairs of wires that go to the front speakers.

In the back of the Defender I have two pairs of speaker cables and their special plugs for speakers. I believe somewhere under the bulkhead or in the engine bay there may be one half of a plug that I can connect to the stereo and thus get the rear speakers working...

Anyone know if this is true or not? Where might I find how to connect the existing speaker wires that never made it to behind the stereo, to the stereo? Anyone else tried to wire up the 4 speakers?

Jon

Hi there, I fitted myself. It’s a basic Defender with no extras and no rear speakers. However behind the rear plastic trim here where the speakers would go there were the tropical small and large spade connectors on a twin stereo cable. So I connected them.

When I replaced the centre console and put in a double DIN CarPlay compatible stereo I found there were only cables on the iso plug for the front speakers...

The rear speakers are wired from the chassis harness connector (C0393 (90) C1762 (110)) to terminals (C0308 to C0311) behind the rear lamp covers.

But, there's no wiring from the head unit's speaker ISO connector (C0092) to the main harness connector (C0379)* which connects to the chassis harness connector (C0393 (90) C1762 (110)).

* = A blanked-off C0379 may already be there, connected to (C0393 (90) C1762 (110))

The missing wiring is easily added -

C0379 is a female 4-way Sumitomo HW sealed series connector

C0092 is a TE Junior Timer connector

The 4 x wires are 0.5mm² thinwall cable

I've previously made-up this additional wiring for customers, and have done it as 2 x twisted pairs between the connectors

Yes, I still make these.

The harness is £10.00 + £3.75 for UK 1st class small parcel P&P.

The harness has ISO connector terminals at the dash end, and a Sumitomo HW 4-way female connector (to mate with C0379) at the engine bay end.

Paul, how do I get in touch to order. Looking at your eBay site my next job was adding the central locking and you seem to know about that too. Where is the best place to contact you?

Jon

Hi Paul
Sorry to bother you but I have the same issue do you still make these and by any chance make the harness for the rear of the puma 110 to connect rear washer and rear brake light. Any help you can provide would be appreciated
