Disco 3 (LR3) disco3 tdv6 57 plate lack of power and black smoke when accellerating

loss of power and black smoke on accelaration some of them fault codes are from egr sensor blanked i been told,any ideas could of been red deisel used in it thats my suspicion anyway.

Red wouldn’t make any difference,

Buy an audi

Clear codes and roadtest then read codes again.
Check egr position, Iirc they dont go less than 5 percent
2007 Euro4 cant just be blanked like earlier models, needs emulators or a remap/patch.

Have you checked the large intercooler hose, they go hard and split?

nice one will look into this today. was driving fine last week before i borrowed it out, ile have a look today if reds been put in aswell got that feeling thats whats happened just hope it aint pump

Red diesel is DIESEL with a dye in it to taint the diesel to show that it is not for use on highways as no fuel duty is paid, I repeat, RED DIESEL is just DIESEL, I felt it necessary to repeat as you ignored the comment above stating as such.

What you are most likely to have had happen is that the fellah you lent her out to absolutely thrashed the pants off it and drove it hard as it wasn't his and now the sensors are telling you that it isn't happy.

Clear codes, drive it as you would normally and then re-read.

Or it’s been filled with dirty fuel/ perhaps even some petrol !

Plus 1 what’s been mentioned by the others ,ref codes, intercooler hoses etc

Also , have u checked the condition of ur throttle body and egr pipes

Ensure where the MAP sensor goes into the throttle body that it’s nice and clean inside
