Does anyone else think the 2020 Defender is just hideous?

I have always loved the looks of Land Rovers, seriously. Any car they've made, I've had some sort of moment where I'm like "wow that kinda looks cool" or "wow that one part looks really awesome.

But I don't feel that way to the new 2020 Defender, I just can't

You would think that LR would make it look some way similar to the classic Defender design, the boxy and rugged look, but they don't. To me it looks like the took an LR4 and smashed it together with a Range Rover HSE or something similar. AND the paint! It's just....bleh. I've always loved the classic simple color schemes on any LR but the paint on the new one is just too much. And I know they have shown pictures of a simple color scheme but it's still just..kinda bad. Agh, rant over.

Does anyone else just feel kinda disappointed by the new Defender?

What are you on about?

even the body shape is not as it will be, so when have you seen a real pic of the defender ?

Cheers
I know it's not the final form, but from what we've seen from Land Rover I'm just saying it's a weird car man, just voicing an opinion for what they've sown us so far

JLR are just responding to market forces. In the not so distant past, blokes were blokes who liked things to look a bit tough. Now, blokes seem to want to go around in skin tight trousers slightly too short and with no socks ffs. Snowflakes want their cars to look like a womb with pretty colours and soft interiors. It all makes you realise, an early death wouldn't be so bad after all.

To be honest... its not the looks/ style (whatever that turns out to be) of the new Defender the bothers me. Its how capable it is in its different roles and if it holds on to what has made all the Series, 90s/110s and Defenders so iconic!! Simple to maintain (within reason), the ability to make them individual (include things like being able easily change it from hardtop to soft top), the guarantee of rust and leaks appearing within the first 6mths of it rolling off the production line, the endless clouds of black smoke at start up and those long motorway hill climbs, etc.

Yeah come to think of it... it will be a soleless pile of C**p that yummy mummy's will buy in its 1000s!!

OMG! Looks like action man's kit car ! What was wrong with the defender look b4?
You can't improve on perfection (would love and old defender ) keep the signature shape and design and give that all the uprated running gear, just don't fcuk about with some thing iconic!
Enough said ! Rant over
