Eye have killed a load of me nettles with resolva. First I cut a load of them int half so they were 18 inch tall. Then sprayed the leaves on the nettle leaves that were left. Theory being I could use up space int me garden wheeeeelie bin. The bits that are left are nearly stalks on their own as the leaves seem to have dissoled.

Can eye just pull out the rest of the nettle or do eye need ter loosen tup the soil so the root puls out with the stem? Am wondering if leaveing the root int place is a bad thing as it will be contageous with poisen from the resolva chemical me thinks.
you really want a lot of leaf to spray using glyphosate (roundup) and give it a few days to reach all parts of the root, resolva is glyphosate and diquat ,diquat is a contact weed killer and only kills the top not the roots i guess they add it so you can see quick results but not really helping with long term weed issues, its good for killing potato tops without effecting the spuds underground and eu is banning it, i dig the root up

Resolva does effect roots, that's how it works ... it's absorbed by the leaf and transported to the rootstock ...

resolva has 2 components glyphosate which is roundup a systemic weed killer ie absorbed and will kill the root ,and diquat a quick contact killer only kills what it touches so wont effect the root, hence use to kill taty tops, if you cut the top off because diquat has worked it doesnt mean the glyphosate has reached the root

Eye cut the top oft before spraying. Eye thought it would still work and if it kills the root it would get to it quicker as it has less distance ter travel through the plant.

'ere @derwendolly ... how's the back?
Still suffering but looking at my lovely flowers helps me try to forget the pain! Tomorrow it is to the quack's to try to get a result from the x-ray I had 3 weeks ago and then to have a think about an osteopath if the trouble is a nerve trap and not skeletal. I wouldn't wish this pain on anyone and am only grateful that I do not have to face working for a living. :(:(:(

3 weeks to get x-ray results  I thought the NHS over here was slow, but that takes the biscuit.
I hope you get answers and eventually get rid of the pain soon.

When you consider that the x-ray was done on the doc's own premises and that I was told it would be about a week for the result and that I would be contacted by the doc. it doesn't exactly inspire confidence in the system.
