2031 is 12 years too late. LR should have been designing at least 1 EV LR alongside the Jaguar I Pace. This way they'd be a leader in the field, instead of a late finisher.

I suppose some will find that interesting, although I'm not at all.
I like full EV, but have no interest in hybrids at all, plug in or otherwise.

LPG wasn't popular on a new vehicle in the UK, with only a few manufacturers offering it. However it was so unpopular here, that no manufacturers offer it now as an option.
Some manufacturers do in other parts of Europe, but not the OK.

Seems pointless to me (personally) as it's still not renewable... But just thought it'd put another point in the discussion!
As battery, charging, and motor technology improves I bet we will see cost effective conversions appearing... Aston and Jag do one for their classic cars. It's all only going to get better.
However the materials used in the batteries are going to become hard to come by eventually, but then so will food as we continue to overpopulate the planet.. but that's another story.

Agreed.
I'm all for converting older or classic cars to EV power.
Batteries won't improve much on the current technologies. We're about as far as what is chemically possible now. The latest lithium ion battery chemistry is really very good, but not as good as a liquid fuel, pound for pound. New batteries charge faster than ever, and have a huge life too.
It's a worry for future generations, tis true.
