Thanks Again, just trying to get everything right this time, when I took mine off they did not have these plates on so not sure if I need them number 15 page 746 http://www.retroanaconda.com/landrover/parts_books/110/9_body_and_chassis_p741-909.pdf
Gonna order some sill rails from YRM, just checking if there's anything else I will need.

I fitted them to mine, as they came as part of the YRM kit. I would expect that they will help transfer the forces through the chassis if the worst happens. Personally, I would advise they are fitted, but a simple nut and bolt with larger washers may suffice.

Been looking but cant see them separate on their site, might try and make some if they don't sell them separate, don't really want to pay this for 8 bits of thin metal. https://www.brit-car.co.uk/product.php/126362/0/spacer_plate_body_mount_bracket_def

Thanks Mick Ive got all bolts but just spoke to them and they are going to give me plates separate.
Just to be sure do these go on to top of Chassis first then Mount on top of them ??

The mount goes on top of the outrigger/chassis leg, and the plates go under the outrigger/chassis leg. They have studs that pass up through holes in the chassis, through the holes in the base of the mount, and secured with a nut and washer on the top. I can get photos if you need them.

My God Im glad I asked you, heres me thinking the went under, mount on top of chassis:oops:, Now I can do it myself as I was going to get my Grandson to come up as I couldn't get my hands up in there to put washer and nut on. He was looking forward to come and do it so will still let him though.
Got 16 spare m6 x 20mm bolts now:).

If you doubt something, stop and ask. We know you didn’t strip it down, so it’s not your fault you don’t know how it goes together.

Thanks That's really a big problem for me from now on In, I get a good Idea from other peoples pics and YouTube, but if I'm really stuck I will ask.
For instance, I bought 2 of these kits a while back, will be ready to use soon when my rails come.https://yrmit.co.uk/product/land-ro...ies-swb-stainless-steel-sill-rail-fixing-kit/
I know where the stud plate goes, and it does say where others go but it doesn't say which ones go where, I'm sure Ill figure it out when everything's sat in place

@mick 1986 It’s like we are helping building a motor & some of us are getting their hands dirtier than others

Can’t wait to see another back on the roads @border keep asking the questions
Im Sure I said it before in one of my posts Im not really on my own Its me and all of you lot that's really building this thing back together, if it was not for this Forum and some of the people on it I could not do this, so once again Thanks Everyone for help and advice so far. Oh and forgot YouTube video's :)

It looks like a special nut, designed to sit in a cutout to stop it turning. If you have a big enough, and strong enough, washer to cover the slot, then I would guess a standard nut would do the job. The only question is, why did Land Rover use this type of nut in the first place? Is it because access with a spanner is restricted?
