Hi, new on here so be nice :)

I have a Freelander 2007 and have suffered alarm problems with an error message that the bonnet is open.

I have bought a replacement Latch - Hood unit from Land Rover and want to fit this, I watched a video about how to do this for a Freelander 2008 model but it seems much easier than the 2007 model

I have bought the online Haines Manual as well but that does not help much, it seems you need to remove the bumper which seems like a lot of work.

Can anyone tell me the process required here please?

Many thanks.

Did mine tonight.... Land Rover no longer sell the replacement plastic micro switch holder, instead they sell an all in one bonnet catch/switch holder.

You can do it by removing the right hand headlight assembly, but it is a bit fiddly. Word to the wise though!.....Having fitted it, it still showed 'bonnet open' on the dash!

The micro switch is faulty, and it's going back to Land Rover in the morning to be forcibly inserted somewhere dark and unpleasant. Check it before fitting!
