Electric can be expensive. Maybe a good second hand alternator with vac pump bolted on it like old ford transit etc
I purchased an electric vac pump off eBay, it was one to suit an Audi I bought, for $60 Au for my 300 Tdi Disco D1.
There should be plenty available in breakers yards over there, you'll also need a vacuum switch/Non return valve off a Volvo or similar plus a couple of small relays. Every thing needed for the job cost me less than half the cost of a cheap Wabco knock off engine driven pump, (non genuine). The electric one I got will pull 28" Hg vacuum, I got sick of the oil leaks of the Wabco, and poor vacuum performance at Iow revs, I'd tried all the tricks to stop the leaks. You need to be able to do a bit of simple circuit wiring, BUT! you can in fact buy the whole lot ready wired up with all the guff, bits n bobs you need on eBay, but a bit costly. If you can, cheaper to diy.
