No the cable wasn't done yesterday as it was working fine after the auto oil change and filter until I went to it this morning iam now thinking it's something inside the gearbox

JamesMartin territory I reckon. When they pulled the plug did it have any debris on it? Fluid was what colour?

The mechanic said there was a bit of debris on the magnet and the fluid was dark red

An oil change only changes about half the fluid, might be worth another change as it worked for a while.

My mechanic said the same but I thought I'd get it checked out by an auto box specialist
