P38A Starter motor

I think there is some confusion. I ordered my replacement starter a couple of years ago, bendix would not disengage, and AllParts gave me a different a different one. I couldn't tell you what it was but the fittings were completely different, I assumed that it was just the V8 starter they gave me in error.
 
All i know is if anyone buys a new EER5445 from Rimmers they need their bumps felt. £747.58 plus a returnable exchange deposit of £192.00. How these bloody idiots ever sell anything at their prices defeats me.

Yeah, got a second-hand one for £22 plus postage. 10 minutes to swap. I can go through quite a few of those before I get near £750. Anyone here work for JLR?! You seriously need to revisit your prices. You might actually start to turn a profit instead of losing out to Charlie China.

The v8 one has the cog sticking further out and the mating face is thicker, presumably to stop it going on the oil burner by mistake!
