My dogs go everywhere with me so I have had to make quite a lot of preparations for their comfort , especially during hot weather. NB. mine is NOT a RR, it is a Disco4.

I have set up one of these fans in the back and operate it from a Road Start (kept behind my seat so that I can switch it on and off easily) so that it is always on when the engine is off and I make sure that it is recharged as necessary. I also use one in the motorhome but that one has a fitment to go on the headrest 'legs'. I always leave the front sunroof open on the tilt - except in rain! And I have got wind deflectors fitted on all windows so that I can leave all windows open a little without it being obvious. My final concession to my canines is to have the Laitovo window blinds on all windows - except the windscreen as they don't do one for that, but, if necessary, I prop up one of those silver things often used to keep frost off on the inside.
They are heavily coated and that is why I go to such lengths to keep them cool. I must emphasize that, in hot weather, they are not left in the car for any length of time and I do keep checking on them! Got 'em spoilt? YES.

Thank you. The dogs love it and spend all day racing and chasing around in it. In the muddy season it bears more resemblance to a Scalextric track when they knock off for the night! Being in Wales, the lord makes sure we get an ample supply of the wet stuff to keep it green, and muddy, the whole year round.:)

My Jack Russell/Border Collie cross loves tearing around our garden too and he has the added advantage of a cooling dip in the river in summer. Nothing like as smart as your garden though, we are restricted as to what will grow because it floods in winter.
