hi i have a slight drip from the front crank shaft seal, which i can live with until i can find time to replace.
my question is when i press on the pulley it has slight play, but when running stays true. my l200 pulley has no give at all the td5 couple of play. is this the norm or does it need changing asap.
my older l200 pully smashed my timing belt cover. regards garry

I can only comment that it appears mine has let go. Does it ‘chirp’ when you switch the engine off? Mine did for a while, it’s now started to clatter and you get a metallic noise with the chirp as you switch off. Obviously it’s now sat on the drive awaiting some investigation tomorrow, definitely don’t fancy driving it while it’s suspect.

I think it is normal. Probably because it has a pulley damper.
