Hi all, further to the introduction last week I've taken the plunge and bought a 99 D2, just driven it home 70 miles and nothing has fallen off so far, however, I now notice that the wipers are held on with tie wraps. I assume that the arms are damaged so to my question, do you guys recommend a particular Land Rover Breaker or second hand parts supplier? I don't fancy buying them from Land Rover direct for obvious reasons.

Hi some people convert them to discovery 1 arms and blades as they are cheaper I currently use Bosch blades as they fit the contour of the screen better

Wish I had seen searched for this before I bought a replacement set of D2 arms as mine weren't making great screen contact with new bosch blades. Anyway if its of any use to anyone, I got a set from Allmakes4x4 on ebay for £44.99 complete with wiper blades that seem to do the job well so far.

+1 ^^^ better buy new D1 arms and change the D2 ones cos it's direct fit and they accept cheaper universal blades also IMO they work better https://www.paddockspares.com/dkb102720-front-wiper-arm-rhd.html ...that's what i did, though the D2 arms are not very expensive either https://www.paddockspares.com/dkb102830-front-windsceen-wiper-arm-rhd.html but for these dedicated blades are needed which are more expensive than those for D1 and you can't find them at the gas station or supermarket

Hi sierrafery, this is exactly what I want to do, retro fit to D1 wipers ..... did you need thinner nuts or do the D2 nuts fit the D1 arms ? Looks to me like the thickness of the arm that goes over the spindle on the D1 arms is more than the D2 recessed bit . All replies gratefully blah blah .
I have found that the caps to go over the arm/nut are Part No. PRC8253 and notalotta pennies if you look around..
