And my slide out tray project is done!

Works exactly as intended, fits perfectly too. Rivnuts holding it to the tub floor have screwed me a bit. I may have to remove the chequer plate liner then nut and bolt it in place for some extrs security.

Otherwise all went quite well.

Finished coat is Buzzwelds 2K FXLiner which can happily cure properly over night.

Jumped up and down at full extension not a drop of movement in it!

It looks like it will do the job you want, but maybe cover the numberplate next time?;)

Woooo! Finally hit 1000 miles of driving like a pensioner!

Time for some powwwerrr

New clutch deffo holds its own. Not a drop of slippage on the "daily map" very happy.

Passenger door card pinged at me the other day. Popped the card of to discover the steel bar are cracked in two

Luckily i have a welder :D not the best job but was short on time.

Also fitted a rivnut into the door frame and put a countersunk M6 thru the door card into the frame. Much stronger than those ****ty trim clips and doesnt look too bad.

Been quite the day today.

Boss asked me to weld up some dollys to help move timber around the yard, happy to oblige!

Welding is deffo getting better but still plenty of room to improve!

Made from 60x30x3mm steel. Designed to hold roughly 1.25 tonne per dolly. Work very well in the workshop.

On top of that a HUGE delivery arrived from Hungary which had to be unloaded

After just loading this to another lorry few hours prior

20190429_093736.jpg

On we go to unload the new lorry, teletruck got stuck on the slope  landy to the resuce! Towed it up the slope, fully loaded n all :D

Shortly after the teletruck blew a seal on the power steering pump which means no lifting either or the boom could drop :eek:o_O

Spent the next 3 hours helping the forklift engineers to fix it - Sadly didnt get it done, need to parts :( Quite fun though!

Got a new forklift, but it was only a 2 tonne one so not really up to the job! Almost toppled forward into the lorry o_Oo_Oo_O

Had to hand unload a fair bit to get the weight down!

Eventually got it all off and in, around even on the yard. Dollys made moving them in much easier! Our shutter is 3.5m wide some of timber is 6m o_O

I'd give you a darn site more than more than a pint for one of those! ideal for gearbox / trans / clutch works etc.
Was going to say with some HD casters but those seem to do the job perfectly!

Think i might have to try and lure you with a truck n pint local check out soon, gonna need some structural timber / materials outdoor projects / Def Tyres / get started in welding advice !
EG WTF is redwood fir? strong as oak?

Haha didnt cost much to make up tbf, nor did they take long!

Its not redwood its robinia from Hungary and yes as strong as oak if not stronger. Low knot, low sap structural timber. Pain in the ass to work with because of the shape that its rock hard!

Had a great day out at a charity hill climb event in Westerham at the Valance School for children with special needs.

110 supprised and impressed a few people who had much nicer rarer cars such as a 69 Mustang with an Aston Martin V8, '70s Corvette Stingray, some rat rods, chitty chitty bang bang and some old school V8 F150s!
