Morning,

has anyone out there got a dog guard fitting kit, or even bits of it, lying around going abegging?
I have a britpart half guard that I got from a gut, but no fitting kit and it turns out the fitting kit is now obsolete with no superseding part, even though they are still selling the guard?
I have contacted Britpart and they have said it will take a long time to get a kit from china. A LONG TIME....

Can anyone help??

cheers Wullie....

Do you mean Part No STC50323? If so there are lot of sellers on EBay who offer it with a fitting kit. Contact one of them.

If it's like mine its only a couple of little brackets at the bottom, top clips into grab handles

If you find a supplier please let us all know. I’ve been looking for one for a while now. The top bracket is what I’m particularly after, as I’m confident of making a half tidy bottom bracket from some aluminium channel.
Perhaps this is one for someone with a 3D printer

Yeah, thats the one and the fitting kit is STC50231, I've been trying to get that on its own and its seems impossible.
Thats what I dont get, folk are happy to sell the two together, but you cant get the fitting kit on its own , need to order from China.
Was hoping someone had some bits kicking about in a wagon or a garage that they were not using.....

As Beanwood says, the bottom bracket would be ok, you could fab it up, but the top one, you need to cut a bit off the grab handle and then bolt a new bit in....
Not like the P38 where you used riv nuts.

I dont want to revert to the cable tie solution, my Mrs would go radio rental......again......

Hi @wullie

TBH if I could get one in say 6 weeks from China, I'd be OK with that. I just don't fancy hacking together something (Which I know would be less than great) as a permanent solution.
Did they actually suggest ordering was an option?

Hi
I think I may have a brand new one. Ordered a dog guard for my Disco 2 which had the fitting bits but not the guard, hence why I have the bits. Tomorrow I will take a photo of it and if you pm me I can send the pics to you so you can see if it is what you need. Price will just be postage.
Cheers

Bit old this now, but are you still looking for top brackets, and the bottom bits, I still have stuff that Wullie no longer seems to need?

Do you still have them? I have given up trying to source a full luggage barrier and am going to go with a STC50082AA dog guard. I've found a decent used one, but it does not come with the bits.
