can any one HELP my starter motor will turn the engine over twice then just sipn to a stop can u tell me wots the problem 89 90td thanks

Myne done similar recently just spin up but no turn the engine, If simlar myne was the starter was shagged. Stripped it down was the oneway clutch was gone so could not grip nuff to tun the engine oer.

Sounds like the centrifugal gear is fookd, prob best to get a new or recon starter (new £75 recon £40 secondhand £20ish?)
