Any recommendations for non-led indicator units (rtc5524)? Recently bought some Wipac genuine units and the quality is pants, the bulb is very insecure in it’s holder and the holder itself is made of cheese, I’m sending them back as they’re not fit for purpose.
I don’t want to break the bank, max. £15ish per unit would be ok.
Thanks

I fitted the NAS spec ones from paddocks around 14 yrs ago I think. Still got the same bulbs in them. I did have to trim the holes out in the bodywork to get them to fit and drill a tiny hole in the lamp body because they misted up a bit, all good after that. The self tapping screws holding the lens to the base plate are not too good and recommend changing them to stainless steel.
I think they were a good buy overall.

LE Perei

I had to buy genuine Land Rover ones as I couldn’t find Perei by any aftermarket supplier. Found side lights through Allmakes but not the indicators. They’re not expensive from LR anyway.

Cheers Flossie, I think the NAS spec are a bit flashy looking for my battered old OneTen, I do like the look of them on a shinier vehicle though!

I have the same problem, I just order multiple units at a time and choose the best ones. They are not all terrible they just have poor quality control. For a couple of pounds each I do not expect good quality but I have managed to get a full set that I am happy with with a bit of trial and error and then send the unused one back.

I appreciate you might not want to change to LEDs, but the quality of the Wipac LED units I bought was excellent. Completely sealed and waterproof.

I’ve seen the Wipac LEDs and the quality is excellent, which is why I was a bit surprised by the shoddy standard units. I’m going to try some LR genuines and see what they’re like.

Paddocks sell them. No problems with mine, look good and work. £2 odd each and get 1 or 2 of the red at the same time for spares.
