Got these in a box of parts when I bought my Project, amongst other parts and panels from YRM, They are same as these here https://yrmit.co.uk/product/land-rover-defender-series-stainless-steel-front-door-bolt-kit/
exact amount in bag same sizes, nuts washers ect. but the countersunk does not go far enough in to hinge. Could I use them like in my photo or do they have to go all the way in.
They won't be long enough if you try that. Put the bolt in a drill and set it away, then play the edge of the countersunk head on a file or strong emery. Keep testing head in hole until it fits. Alternatively, drill the hinge holes out.

The bolts you have aren’t from YRM. The YRM bolts are A4 SS, not A2 SS. The bolts from YRM have a unique taper and fit inside the hinge like the standard bolts. I wouldn’t mess around with the A2 bolts.

Will get a proper set, , The Doors have to go and get new bottoms welded in yet, was just going to try and get them lined up before.

That's a great spot, Mick. It prompted me to go out and look at mine, because I was sure I bought my hinge bolt set from YRM. No, mine are allen heads! Bought a ton of stuff off YRM and could have sworn those bolts were among them. Over three years ago, do you know if they have always done the torx head bolts? At my age, 3 years is a long time for your mind to play tricks on you though

They have done the Torx heads for at least 2 years, maybe slightly longer. I bought mine around 1 year before the rebuild, so at least 2 years back.

Cheers, Mick. I'm back to thinking mine might be YRM, border's too. Looking back at his pictures. That's a YRM sealing packet and I recognise the handwriting on it.

EDIT
I've just looked on their website and it's the same product number, 1004
Phew! Al 1 Altzeimers 247, but every positive counts :)

I will speak to Ronnie tomorrow and see if they have ever done A2 Countersunk Cap bolts. I suspect not, but happy to be proven wrong. I recognised the writing and part number in the photo, but I don’t think it’s a genuine YRM kit.

Aye, that'll be interesting. On the phone, or are you not far away! I made several visits to collect stuff. Lovely people. :)

It's not about being proven wrong, mate. I'm just worried about my mental health. It's an age thing

Spoke to Ronnie. The last set of A2 bolts were sold December 2014. They did sell them for a while, but changed over to A4 Torx.

I think these were bought in 2011 with the rest of the stuff I have. They are numbered 1004 which is door fitting kit so not sure why they don’t fit. I also have the rear door fitting kit they are A2 aswell

That explains it. I would swap any A2-70 bolts for A4-80. They are more corrosion resistant, and stronger.
