so i was having gear change problems went from pushing hard for first too having to start in 1st or rev to obtain gear , well thanks to you guys i decided to top up the clutch master cylinder with dot 4 cheap option first, so get my dot 4 open bonnet and then the fun started. in the end i used short length of garden hose with funnel rammed in the end. so my question is there a proper way to do it?

Never owned a freelander or even looked under the bonnet of one.
However, tratters are also difficult to top up.
I use a syringe to suck it out the bottle and inject into the reservoir.
Mines a 60ml.
A piece of washer tube pushed over the end of the syringe for even more reach if needed.
