Yes but they aren’t that common, quickly phased out in favour of the Turbo Diesel 19J

Good engine apparently, I know someone who’s got one. He’s just had a bit of trouble finding a replacement head as his one cracked.

Bought a 73 SWB for a lady with one fitted- lovely engine- what the 2 .25 should have been like. So much better than a std petrol- better torque. If I had one spare I would use it to replace the diesel in my S1 pick up.

Thats what i am doing, i went against my gut feeling and fitted a 200tdi in a series 3, have done a couple before when they where popular but can,t stand it to noisy and rattley, so going for petrol at the moment looks like a bog standard 21/4 i think they are a good engine

if you get an ACR head or SU conversion you can make the std engine quite good.
