ride height settings p38a

Good evening everyone,
I am seeking enlightenment. A friend of mine set up his p38 ride heights using lengths of timber. Unfortunately he is no longer with us and I was wondering if any of the members new what lengths to cut these timbers as I am going to fit new air bags and height sensors as both have done a fair bit of mileage (127293ml). here's hoping. The Vehicle is a 2000 p38a 4.6 petrol auto.

Unlikely that the height sensors will need replacing and no calibration will be needed if you leave them alone.
the easiest way to calibrate is with the RSW EAS software and a measuring stick measiing from the centre of the wheel on each corner to the wheel arch.
I have one on 167K and the sensors are still OK.

it seems that the heights are incorrect because when I take her into the forest she never seems to reach off road height because the compressor does not stop until it overheats

Sound like the bags have gone, hopefully the new bags will sort that, i would do a compressor refurb as well, if its been feeding a leak it will be well worn.

So the bags are shot and probably the compressor too, the valve block could probably do with an overhaul as well.

Well here we go my friend. At the moment she is sat there with her arse fully in the air and her front end sat on the bump stops. I have connected the rws eas programme to her but there is no faults recorded the front will raise and lower but the back just stays where it is. the steering feels like I am driving through mud. The compressor has developed a mind of its own and reminds me of a council worker in that it only works when it wants to or when the rws eas is plugged into it. Oh the joy of owning a range rover.

The compressor should only run when needed. If the rear end is stuck on high what reading do you get from the sensors using the "Heights" tab on the RSW software?
Corrosion in the white connectors at the foot of the A post on the passenger side is a common source of problems.
