Freelander 1 police siren sound and white smoke intermittenly from exhasut.

Hi.

After some advice please. I own a 2005 TD4 Freelander sport. Some mornings when I start her up, white cloud of smoke appears from the exhaust and then its gone. I have only this week noticed a sound like a police siren in the distance when I accelerate. When driving from cold it takes a minute or two to get her going and then she is fine.

Can anyone offer me a possible cause. is it a turbo issue? she has only clocked 60000 to date.

The sirens in the distance is the fire-brigade trying to find out where all the smoke on the motorway is coming from?

Someone sensible will be along in a moment from the gay-hairdressers fraternity.

Probably a turbo pipe needs replacing, could be just a loose clip !

You need to stop listening to the sweet when driving (sorry doesn't help I know)
